No special skills required. No previous experience necessary ! ... As long as you can pick up a brush ... maybe ... and bring your own brush, hoe, shovel, bucket etc.etc.

Examples of the type of work we have been undertaking to date include:

• Tidying borders
• Weeding
• Use of wood clippings in the borders
• Tidy of the Garden of Remembrance
• Painting of the outside of the porch

Other work which will continue over the next few months will include:

• More weeding (it never stops!)
• Pruning of the rose bushes
• Painting of the outside statues
• Jet washing the path in the Garden of Remembrance

So you can see that there is little skill required, just a little brute force and willingness to spend a couple of hours in the sun making our church look presentable ... it's always sunny when we work ... promise!

Having said there is little skill involved, there are times where we might need some specific skill to fix a problem much like the issue we had last week where the ride-on mower upon which Father Gildea surveyed the rear lawn, required fixing /fan belt adjustment / etc.etc. In such cases, we will ask for that specific help through the bulletin and on the website via the Latest News page.

So, in general,  just turn up on the second Tuesday in the month after morning Mass. No need to let anyone know in advance. We would love to see you there... and there's free tea and biscuits!
