Fr Gildea's Golden Jubilee

On the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, 8th June 2013, a Mass of Thanksgiving was celebrated at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King, Liverpool with celebrant Bishop John Rawsthorne. Father John Gildea was one of a group of Catholic priests who were ordained 50 years earlier. 

Many of Fr. Gildea's family, friends and parishioners, old and new, attended this event to mark the occasion and celebrate his Golden Jubilee.  Below is a short video of the day and the subsequent light-hearted gathering on the lawn of St Peter's Church, Woolston.
