MEMORIAL GARDEN :
NOTICE FOR ALL FAMILY / FRIENDS
As you know this lovely Memorial garden was built for the deceased members of our parish. Over the years there have been many visitors, prayers and tears shed here in memory of our loved ones.
It is difficult to find volunteers to maintain this garden and to keep it neat, tidy and respectful.
From the beginning it was agreed that only a rose bush and one memento be allowed ( photo, stone or ornament ). Unfortunately, over the years people have gradually neglected this ruling. So, it is has now become necessary to remove all objects other than those agreed on.
I understand that relatives want to bring flowers or a candle when they visit. But, this can only be catered for as long as vases, and dead flowers are removed and candles taken away when they no longer burn.
I realise there are some personal things here that people may wish to keep so I will not remove and dispose of anything other than what we agreed on until 1st July 2020.
I am sure you will all understand my reasoning
for this action and trust will not be offended .
Thank you for your support. Fr Gildea P.P.
