The document which is the synthesised from consultation of countries and diocese across Europe can be viewed by clicking the link here. It is the European version of the work that was undertaken in our own Archdiocese over the last two years. The document, which echoes a large number of the developments identified in our own Synod submission will be the focus of the synodal processes being undertaken in Q1 2023. As per our recent documents, it is written in plain english and is easily read.
World Day of Migrants and Refugees: Sunday, 25 September 2022
The Church has been celebrating the World Day of Migrants and Refugees (WDMR) since 1914. It’s always an occasion to express concern for different vulnerable people on the move; to pray for them as they face many challenges; and to increase awareness about the opportunities that migration offers.
The Vatican has a dedicated section for Migrants and Refugees. It is directed personally by Pope Francis and aims to help the Church, and others, to accompany those forced to flee and make sure they are not shut out or left behind.
